Brandon Rutter is the owner and principal attorney at Brandon Rutter Law LLC, specializing in legal and business services for tech companies and startups, the music industry, and small and mid-sized businesses.

 

Brandon believes that the best advice comes from someone who has been there, done that. When advising fellow entrepreneurs, Brandon draws from a lifetime of entrepreneurial experience and can quickly drill down into what really matters for the business in the short, medium, and long terms. When working with tech companies, Brandon relies on the six years he spent “wearing many hats” as a product analyst at a small financial software company. 

 

Brandon has also been involved in the music industry for more than twenty years, primarily as a musician and performer. He earned his chops as a bass player for dozens of musical theater productions and as a singer in groups such as the world-renowned Philadelphia Boys Choir and Chorale. Brandon continues to perform regularly in the NYC-based semi-professional a cappella group The Current. In addition to his skills as a performer, Brandon earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Industry at Drexel University, making him the complete package when providing insight and advice for the music industry.

 

Brandon earned his Juris Doctor from the Fordham University School of Law, where he was the President of the Entrepreneurial Law Society and an ABA competitor on the Negotiations team. Brandon also earned an MBA (with concentration in Economics) and a Bachelors in Music Industry from Drexel University. While at Drexel, Brandon worked for MAD Dragon records, as an artist manager, and performed with hundreds of shows and productions.

 

Located in Jersey City, NJ, Brandon spends his spare time with his wife Danielle and his daughter Evelyn. Brandon is also the Chairperson of the Jersey City Environmental Commission, where he is honored to serve his community. Brandon is an active member of the NJ Bar Association and NYC Bar Association Solo and Small Firm Sections.
